Not happy that a so-called "assault" weapons ban cannot get enough votes to pass in either chamber of the IL General Assembly, Gov. Quinn went out on his own Tuesday and used a questionable amendatory tactic to hijack a legitimate ammunition bill that had already passed both chambers, gutted it, and turned it into his own personal statewide ban on commonly used, commonly owned firearms and magazines.

Quinn is using SB0681 as his personal vehicle to infringe on the rights of lawful gun owners. He has returned the bill to the General Assembly for approval. Call your state representative and state senator and voice your opposition to this infringement on your Second Amendment rights!
