49 states have concealed carry provisions for law-abiding citizens which recognize the right to carry a defensive firearms for personal and family protection. That means 49 states have some form of right to carry law in force.
Illinois is the last and only state to prohibit carrying a firearm for personal protection, plus it is a felony to do so.
If you have questions or concerns about this issue, please come to this meeting and present them to our panel of experts. If you find Illinois current and proposed laws regarding firearms and self-defense alarming, come find what you can do about it!
